Late Student Parent Check-In 2/21/23

Greetings Towers Families,

We have noticed a continous pattern of students coming to school late, and some of the same students come excessively late several days a week.  When students are continously late to school, they miss valuable learning and instructional time, which makes it a challenge for students to master standards. If a student is 10 minutes late to school each day, this adds up to missing more than 33 hours of class time. ~American Graduate

Effective February 21, 2023 all parents and guardians will be required to come into the school to sign in his/her child upon late arrival after 8:20 am.

Chornic tardies may result in one or more of the following corrective actions:

  • Parent Phone Call/Conference
  • Counseling Referral
  • Attendance Contract
  • Social Work Referral
  • Up to 10-day suspension
  • Alternative Program

If you have any additional questions, please contact Ms. Kimberly Newman, Assistant Principal of Attendance

Thank you,

Towers Administration
