March 13, 2020 (updated March 17, 2020) – 

The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) will expand the number of meal sites per region effective Thursday, March 19, 2020. This will allow more students to receive meals within each Region. The additional 7 sites are:

1. John Robert Lewis ES - Region I

2. Avondale ES - Region II

3. Stephenson MS - Region III

4. Freedom MS - Region IV

5. Miller Grove MS - Region V

6. Peachcrest ES - Region VI

7. Cedar Grove ES - Region VII

With the addition of these 7 sites, DCSD meal service will be available for students in 21 locations and in conjunction with DeKalb Government afternoon snack sites, food will be available in a total of 30 sites. Sites are listed below. DCSD will also use buses to deliver ‘grab and go’ bags directly to students in the community beginning March 23, 2020. The Atlanta Food Bank will partner with the District during the week of March 23rd and provide food distribution at the following existing meal sites:

Sequoyah MS, Jolly ES, Idlewood ES, Chapel Hill MS, and the DeKalb Early Learning Center.
